Filmemacher Christoph Schwarz tritt für das Fernsehformat „Streikjahre“ in einen Geldstreik. Als kapitalismuskritischer Einstieg in Klimaaktivismus und einmalige Gelegenheit, sich heimlich um das Filmbudget ein langersehntes Wochenendhaus zu kaufen. Christoph rettet Lebensmittel aus der Tonne, baut am Kreisverkehr Erdäpfel und in einem Cabrio Kräuter an, blockiert Autobahnbaustellen. Das Problem, mit einem Geldstreik selbst Geld verdient zu haben, ist allerdings nicht so leicht los zu werden.
