Star rating: 4 of 6
2012 | 45 min | Recommended min. age: 12 y

“Weil ich länger lebe als du” tells the story of three children that have decided to no longer rely on adults. Carrying out different projects, they have set out to fulfill their dream of a better world: In the slums of Nairobi, the 15-year-old Fardosa fights against the forced marriage of young girls. In Iraq, the 13-year-old Roman combats parental violence in his surroundings. And the today 14-year-old Felix, the main character in this documentary, that combats climate change with the initiative “Plants-for-the-Planet“. Traveling around the world, Felix debates with numerous politicians and decision makers and manages to inspire other kids to fight for their own goals.

Globally networked and with incredible energy, the children face their challenges as professionally as adults; but they see the things differently: the big challenges of our time from a child’s perspective. Over four years, the fechnerMEDIA film team accompanied Felix and his friends through ups and downs. A very inspiring success story that encourages the viewers to take action.
