How does capitalism end?
Official film description
"System Error" seeks answers to the great contradictions of our time and makes it clear why, despite everything, everything continues as before. The film shows the world from the perspective of people fascinated by the possibilities of capitalism. Whether European financial strategists, American hedge fund managers or Brazilian meat producers: They cannot, must not or do not even want to imagine a world without an expanding economy.

You can have fun in this film, but also clench your fist in your pocket with bewilderment. As before, Opitz acts as an original, unagitated observer of Western contemporary phenomena and their global effects with "Der große Ausverkauf" and "Speed". He gets his fingers sore, but his view of the future is optimistic. This is also why this is a very human film. – Kölner Stadt Anzeiger
A very well made film, with very impressive pictures and great interviews... The madness of growth is brought to the point! He's perfect at what he does. – Ulrike Herrmann (taz) in Deutschlandfunk Kultur
In "System Error" double Grimme Prize winner Florian Opitz explores the limits of growth and examines the theses of critics of capitalism using impressive examples. – Finanznachrichten.de
