Now

School strikes, demonstrations and civil disobedience. The new wave of young activists who have taken to the streets around the world under the leadership of Greta Thunberg is making every effort to raise awareness among politicians and the rest of the population about the climate change that will shape their future. "Now" is a film about the energy of the young activists, their fear of climate change and their willingness to find new and alternative ways to live in a sustainable future.

Cult photographer Jim Rakete meets six young climate rebels from the so-called Generation Greta: Luisa Neubauer (Fridays for Future), Felix Finkbeiner (Plant for the Planet), Vic Barrett (Youth v. Gov), Marcella Hansch (Pacific Garbage Screening), Nike Mahlhaus (Ende Gelände) and Zion Lights (Extinction Rebellion). Why did they become activists? What motivates them? What is at stake?

A film that encourages imitation. Deliberately - so that today's generation has a future tomorrow.
